Preparing Fish Tacos

Fish Tacos are one of our favorites at Iowa Great Lakes Outdoors, Inc. and are one of the easiest ways to prepare fish with limited time for an evening meal.  There are many folks that think fish would not be good this way, but seasoned and baked with a rub that has a southwest flare will have you coming back for more! Any freshwater fish will suffice to prepare fish tacos, but pan fish fillets work great because it does not take a large amount of fish fillets to make a great meal for a family.  Here's the recipe and steps to prepare this dish.......

8-10 pan fish (16-20 fillets), Wow-a-Chihuahua Seasoning, olive oil, torilla shells, lettuce, tomato, fresh garden salsa, shredded colby jack or cheddar cheese, chipolte ranch dressing

  • Prepare your fish fillets by rinsing and patting dry with a paper towel
  • Use a cookie sheet and cover with aluminum foil to bake the fillets on
  • Lightly coat both sides of each fillet with a brush dipped in olive oil
  • Coat each side of the fillet with Wow-a-Chihuahua to your liking
  • Lay fillets on Aluminum Foil
  • Bake at 350F for 10-15 minutes checking for doneness with a fork- when fillets are done they will flake
  • Make up your taco with the fixings you prefer- each taco only takes 2-3 individual fillets
